Global hotel company Dusit International inked an agreement with two local companies to develop dusitD2 Resort, San Juan, La Union Province, Philippines, set to open in 2019.

dusitD2 Resort, San Juan is the first international brand resort located at the Waves Beach Club and Residences (Waves), an upcoming seven-hectare luxury residential resort complex set to change the lifestyle and leisure landscape in San Juan, La Union Province. The resort is located within an hour’s drive from Baguio City and three hours by car from Metro Manila and Clark Airport.

Opening by the first quarter of 2019, Waves is being developed as a premium Malibu-inspired resort complete with a lifestyle, commercial, and residential hub tucked away at the surfing capital of Northern Luzon.

dusitD2 Resort, San Juan will comprise 115 rooms and 50 villas. Facilities will include a club house with an all-day-dining theme restaurant, an oversized swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness studio and ample parking. With its location in San Juan, La Union, the resort offers pleasure-seekers two surfing seasons from July to October and November to March. For those not into surfing, there is plenty more to see including museums and eco-tourism attractions.

“The resort is the first-of-its-kind in the area, and we are pleased to be partners with RCL Realty & Consulting Services, Inc. and Brightbeam Corporation on this project,” said Dusit International’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Lim Boon Kwee. “Both companies are known for delivering high quality developments and we are confident they will realize our plans for a resort that offers the distinctive combination of comfort, convenience, technology, and warm gracious service that the dusitD2 brand is world-renowned for.”

This resort is part of Dusit International’s aggressive expansion plans that are underway. Across the group’s four key brands are Dusit Thani, dusitD2, Dusit Princess, and Dusit Devarana.

Dusit International has opened dusitD2 resorts in Thailand, U.S.A., China and Kenya, and is in the process of opening twelve more properties in China, the Philippines, Oman, Bhutan, U.A.E, Myanmar and Qatar. -PR
